³³From a fundamental point of view a DC signal is not a signal because it does not contain any information: it actually is just a DC value (or voltage or current or...). Yes, I know, a sine also doesn’t contain information because if I would know the magnitude and phase of a sine at this very moment, then I would know it’s value at any time instant in the future and in the past. Still we use sine waves as fundamental signals.
